Insomnia X Resonate

The GT Omega Racing team headed to the Insomnia X Resonate, once again being a local event in Glasgow we couldn't turn down this opportunity to be around our fellow locals for another great event. It was held at the Glasgow SEC Arena which is a great location for our staff team so we couldn't wait to attend as always. It was great to be closer to home and meet more fans from our own area for the first time.

The Resonate event teaming up with the Multiplay Insomnia backing was great, it meant the event would be hugely popular and bring our as many fans and visitors as possible. On our stand we had a Playstation VR cockpit setup with Driveclub VR once again as the game. It was a huge success and so busy that we had to give out numbered tickets for people to come back for their turn.

This event was the debut of our Giant Gaming Office chair so we ran a competition called ‘Claim your throne’ where people had to take a photo of themselves in our Giant chair, submit it to social media to be in with a chance to win a prize. And secondly our NEW Gaming Backpacks went down a treat, people loved the new range and we even sold quite a few at this event alone.

There was some great success for our staff team away from our stand at this event too. Brian and John were both in the Tekken 7 finals, Brian won which made John very disappointed as we all know he thinks he is the best at Tekken. And to top it off our very own Gary won the Fifa tournament, so all round a great showing at this event for our staff team.

We also Forged a friendship with the guys from BELONG Glasgow which has developed nicely in to featuring our chairs in BELONG Centers all over the UK.
